Jingo, that is a beautiful setup. I like how the colour of the mid matches (a bit) the colour of the wall. Maybe it's the camera effect, but it does have a tiny hue of it. The black enclosure of the mid really accentuates the driver. Such a classy setup. I bet it sounds as good as it looks.

Indeed. Great set-up! Listened to the 800Diamonds in an MC452/C50/MCD500 set-up last week and they were as good as I've heard. Wonderful.

Actually the Belle was the recommended center for the Khorns according to PWK. Until Paul passed on the reigns to Klipsch you could buy a single Belle. He also recommended The C22 for the pre and three MC30's for the amps.

I had the good fortune to hear this setup in the proper size room in the mid seventies. I was on tour with a symphony orchestra and got lucky to be assigned a host who was an audiophile. We stayed up all night and did not even dent his 5000 album collection of classical music. I can't remember the turntable but I remember it had a linear tracking tonearm. Hearing this setup is the reason why, nearly 20 years later, I bought my first McIntosh gear.

One funny thing about the Sinatra photo is I also assumed it was a center channel speaker until I noticed the three channel RtoR. Is that a bowl full of cigarettes on the table.

Here is the evolution of my room.
What’s great about this timeline and also acts a testament to the members of Audio Aficionado is most of the changes were made after consulting you all.

In the 1st shot, you can see a SF GPD in the corner. Inside the cabinet was my Unico Secondo Integrated amp and a Cambridge Audio 840C cdp. All power cords were stock and I think I spent $50 for speaker wire $25 for RCA i/c from Monster Cable.
