This looks like a great review though I haven't had time to read through it yet. I'm wondering if this is something that is supposed to be on my list!

Thanks, Dan. I wholeheartedly agree with your opinion. I am particularly fond of how much darker is the background on the Sonos application.

I run a WW Gold Starlight coax cable from the Sonos Connect to the Remedy, and use another WW Gold Starlight coax out to my Mcintosh D100. I also use a WW Supernova 7 Toslink cable out from the Remedy to another D100 for my outdoor application. I prefer the sound presentation through the coax cable more so than the Toslink. I think the coax helps present the digital information in a warmer, closer to analogue fashion, and the optical in a cleaner, more aseptic delivery, although the Supernova is more solid and friendly than my previous DH Labs cable.

Either way, the Remedy kicks butt. I have been listening to Deezer on Sonos for 5-6 days straight, without any fatigue whatsoever

Cheers!

Hector.......Thanks for the feedback on your experience with the W4S Remedy and Sonos Connect. It sounds to me like you have your setup well connected and sounding excellent.

Dan, thanks for conducting and posting this review. I have to say I was skeptical up to this point, but your experience has changed my thinking.

Mike.......I have to admit I was in the same boat as you until I put the Remedy to the test between the Sonos Connect and the DAC. After the full review and moving the Remedy to several other components, I returned it to the studio system where it will remain connected between the Sonos Connect and the K-03 DAC. The Wyred 4 Sound Remedy reclocker definitely improved the performance and is an asset when used in the right locations.

Dan, this was the part of your review that really got my attention--until now I had assumed that my MS300>MDA1000 was maximizing the sound quality potential of my digital music files.

I am looking forward to your impressions of the Remedy's impact on the performance of your MR88.

Well, following reading this excellent as usual review, and a phone conversation with Dan earlier today, this gadget has my attention. (And oh yes, I did see Ivan's testimonial on the Wyred for Sound website). My new Wyred 4 sound DAC-2 DSDse already has the Femto clock installed, but I still have a standard DAC-2 in my office, which does not.

However, was has my attention perhaps more than the Femto clock is the fact that the Remedy outputs everything to 96khz. That says to me that regardless of what quality redbook transport I am using (and/or will be using in the near future) there may be a benefit to using this device in both systems just on the merits of the 96khz output frequency alone.

Comments anyone?

Pete... I'm afraid you've passed the point of no return. You might as well order now and get it behind you.
