Default The Wave preamp/DAC

How does it compare to 300B and others? It has balanced inputs and outputs (unlike 300B), has a remote (unlike Reference) so it sounds pretty tempting to me used. Any impressions?

I regret that I have never heard it. I use the 300B preamp and will never part with it. There are some rumors of there coming a new Manley DAC/preamp in 2014 :-)

Am I the only one who reckons a Pre with a built in phono stage would have more takers; It seems that DAC technology moves so fast that whatever Manley implemented now would be outdated in a scant year or two. A Pre with a built in phono stage on the other hand would surely attract a user looking for quality & less clutter on their rack (me for one!) in a product one could conceive of owning for years. Manley's reputation with phono stages is excellent, so the combination would be a winner imho.

ps....balanced outputs would be good too

No you are sure not the only one..

If Manley would have created a Big Reference preamplifier with Steelhead and NeoClassic 300B in one (ofcourse with separate PS) I would be on the list and prepaid already.
I like my Steelhead and 300B very much, but Evanna should bring out the new WAVE/TURBOT Pre/DAC in two choices, either as dedicated full blown phono OR the full blown DAC version.

Further I see no big market for this DAC version.. Although it may sound Very good, and sure trust that

I'm SACD fanboy, and always had one box players, will never change that.
Keep It Simple.
So i'm no potential for the WAVE/TURBOT preamp/DAC i'm sorry. Great looking though !!
