My file structure is artist/album and Roon is beavering away indexing everything. So far so good. I’ve spent more in music than gear lately so I have 11TB to index.
I found a few errors like Yes and YES being two different groups. So far Roon is not stable so I’ve got some work to do.

Well I guess I’ll see if Roon support is any good. Still unstable and now core won’t start at all. Support ticket started.
As Marc indicated I may have to dedicate a machine to running Core. We’ll see. I love this SW package. It is so flexible. I have two surface pro’s. The SurfacePro 3 works as a great remote and the SP7 runs roonbridge. Meanwhile, I’ve dumped Amazon MusicHD and am enjoying Qobuz. Waaay better UI.

Tom, you will probably enjoy building a Roon NUC. It is not expensive and fun to do. I have been meaning to look into it myself. Perhaps after the holidays I will build one.
As a side note, the Sonos speakers are also recognized by Roon. So if one has various Sonos speakers around the house (I do) then any device that is running Roon can control them, including volume. Convenient.

Roon NUC
I have done that - purchased a NUC i7 kit, fixed it into a fanless case (Akasa Plato X7), then installed Roon Core. I followed an installation guide, such as this one: https://audiophilestyle.com/ca/ca-ac...kit-rock-r652/). It works perfectly just like any other appliance and I rarely switch it off. Recommended.

I’m back in business. I turned my old PC into a Roon Server and pointed all the end points and remotes at that. So far so good.
