The important question is.... How is the amp after repair? I recall the lack of perceived bass was the original issue? Is that resolved?

A very quick listen and OH Yeah! It Sounds fantastic. A world better than it did before, and quite noticeably better than it's cousin the Proceed BPA2.

Deep, rich... MMM MMM good.

It probably needs a little break in time (with so many components replaced), and I need more time with it. But I'm very happy.

Insult to injury.... I guess I'll chalk it up to 2020...

I just found out the secondary problem, power on protection relays not functioning properly, didn't get fixed on the XLR inputs... they knew that was a problem, it is on their paperwork, I even discussed it with the business owner on the phone. He said the problems were all related and that had been fixed as well....

If a source is playing, and I turn the 532H on, the source is audible immediately, instead of after the relays trip. When the relays trip, the sound goes out for a second or 2 then comes back.

It is such a pain to ship, + about $300 round trip... I could live with that issue, only if I was 100% positive it was a separate issue and it wouldn't hurt the amp. For all I know, that could be what caused the early failing of all the other parts...

In case anyone is curious (or cares), this is the problem it still has. I made the video for the service center, but thought I'd share it here. I start with the progression through the components, just to show what is in the chain. When I push the power button on the ML the music comes right on, then goes out then comes back on. The left channel comes back on about 5 seconds after the right (hard to notice in vid). Then when I turn it off, 20 seconds later you hear sound again for about 1-2 seconds, it crackles as it finally goes back out. I think that is the capacitors draining out.

Audio Classics should refund your money period no excuses. I'll never do business with them.

Sorry that you’re having problems, let alone STILL having problems after having all that replaced on your dime.

I know Harmon didn’t back it under warranty, but how far have you pursued it with Audio Classics? I have always found Audio Classics to be very reputable.

Thanks,

I talked to them while it was in for service. He said "I wish you had told me about the problem before shipping it in."

I told him they had already told me, in no uncertain terms, it had no warranty through them. When Harman said they would honor the wtty through Harman, there was no reason to involve AC.

When it all blew up, and Harman reneged on their wtty promise, it was too late for AC to do anything.

I want a Levinson amp in this system, I love the sound. It is what I want in my end game system. I pretty much have to see this through. No way to back out now and find another amp without losing a lot of $...

You owe it to yourself to try AC once more. Send them a link to this thread.

They are good shit. I’ve dealt with Mike there in the past and they’ve been outstanding.
