LOL...true!

But Yamaki has meaning...it is a brand of hand made Japanese guitars. Mine are actually 1970 & 1972 vintage instruments. They are, in a word, AWESOME!!!

Default hahahaha....I have a problem... :lmao:

I need to join AA (Audioholics Anonymous) as soon as I deal with this dilemma...excess audio component capacity.

I have one more Yamaha CA-600 amplifier in transit which will be added to this stack:

From left to right, bottom to top we have:

CR-620 receiver - good condition
CA-1000 amp - needs repair
Minimus 7 & Minimus 7W speakers

CA-600 amp - needs repair
CT-800 tuner - needs repair
CT-610 II tuner - good condition
NHT Super Zero 2.1 speakers

CA-2010 amp - excellent condition
CT-810 tuner - MINTY condition
CT-410 tuner - Super Excellent condition
JBL 2500 speakers.

My plan is to come up with 3, possibly 4, systems out of this stack of insanity after the non-working or needing repair items are assessed. Two of the cases are pretty rough (CA-1000 & CT-800), some are in decent shape with the rest in good to excellent condition.

I was pleasantly surprised when I received the CT-410 & CT-810 tuners this week. The 410 only has one small nick on the top of the aluminum face and the case has a small rub on the back. The 810 looks freakin' brand new!

I am definitely making a system with this combination:

CA-2010 amp
CT-810 tuner
NHT speakers

In fact, I already have them hooked up and running in the shop to break in the NHT's which are new.

The CR-620 & the Minimus 7W's will be set up in the wife's glass studio for her enjoyment.

I want to put a system together for my home office, probably just an amp and tuner but which ones is still undecided. It depends on what is repairable and what isn't. It would be great if the CA-1000 & CT-800 are repairable as they would match up nicely with the JBL's. If not, the CT-410 & one of the CA-600 amps will do nicely.

That will leave me with several amps to refurbish and sell on and possibly one tuner unless I come up with one more system need.

I'm having a hard time deciding which ones should move on!!! It would be a sad, sad thing to see some of them go.

Anyone know of any AA chapters nearby?

I have both the CT-610 II and CT-410 tuners up and running along with both CA-600 amps. One combination now provides tunes in my home office and the other, along with a used Yamaha timer added, is now my alarm clock. Music is sooo much nicer to wake up to than the screechy BEEP BEEP BEEP of the alarm.

I really don't know if I can resurrect the CA-1010 amp and CT-800 tuner but I'll give it a try.

I'd like to find a couple of cases in good condition but that's for later. Right now, upgrades to the main system are the order of the day.

Of the gear you've listed the CT-800 is the best tuner. If you are going for the best performance, having it refurbished (cleaned, recapped & aligned) will net the best results.
The CA-2010 is the top integrated amp. Same thing there. Get it cleaned, recapped & adjusted and it will serve you well for another 40 years. There was no CA-3010. Only a CR-3020 'monster' receiver. The later/larger integrated amps are CA-2000A & X. You might want to talk to 'avionic' and 'Echo Wars' on AudioKarma. Two of the best Yamaha techs around.

Sometimes I wish I had kept my Yamaha stack that I had used in a second system. All three pieces the M-80, C-80 & T-80 were excellent pieces.

Nice models, Jim!

I see I need to renew my links to the pics above.

As an update, I got the CA-2010 cleaned, capped and tweaked a bit. It really sounds great with the CT-810 II tuner I found.

The CA-1010 was donated to a good cause (local high school electronics shop) and if they get it running, I'll sell it and donate the money back to the school. I advertised the CT-800 for sale as a parts only unit and it sold quickly. The other CA-600 came in, looking forlorn and it was in really bad shape. I may just sell that one on to someone who has the time, patience and skillset to revive it. I used one of them around the house.

As it is now, I put the following systems to work:

1. Wife's glass studio: CR-620 with JBL 2500 bookshelf speakers.
2. Garage/Shop: CA-2010, CT-810II, NHT Super Zero 2.1 spkrs, Onkyo dual well cassette & Denon DVD-2910 CD
3. The "Alarm Clock": CA-600, CT-410, Paradigm Titans & Pioneer 555 timer.
