Jerome
Congrats on your A23 Hommage T2 SUT. Apart from some brilliant reviews there is not much information online regarding pricing and dealers. I will need a SUT for a Ortofon SPU mounted on a Ortofon 309 D. Will appreciate any comments /advice.
Cheers

You "need" the Hommage T1.
Sold by Shindo dealers in the US.

I've been thinking of buying a Auditorium 23 Hommage but there are some people who think the Choir Audio SUT H-7 sounds equally good but at a retail of less than $1700. They even offer a 30-Day in home trial. Anyone here do an A/B comparison?

Don't know how it sounds but it looks great.
I would just tend to think that switches for gain and load can loose some degrees of transparency and realism compared to transfos made specifically for a certain load like the A23. I would also tend to think that the difference in price could not result in a performance comparable to the A23. That is my experience that for most serious brands, the price paid refers to quality. Of course there are exceptions and diminishing returns. But most of the time, with serious makers, when you pay more, you get more. And A23 is a very serious maker.
But a 30 day home trial is great here too : zero risk !

Jerome and Dan
Many thanks. USD 5k....ouch. This is for a second rig that's meant to be fun and not haemorrhage the bank a/c. Will start with a modest but well rated Ortofon SUT into the MM stage of my Nagra VPS.
Have a great weekend

Ah ! I understand.
My second rig uses the standard A23 SUT, much cheaper....

As you are not in the US you should contact Mr Aschenbrenner directly, I understand pricing is around 2200 EUR. (ex. VAT)
