Here is one way to get yourself into a heap of trouble. This moron should never be allowed to carry or own a gun.

Serge.......If that happened in Florida, the driver could be facing 10 years for assault with a deadly weapon involving a gun.

For a carry 380, you might want to look at the Kimber Micro. To my hand, it is considerably more comfortable to shoot then most of the others.

Check out the S&W Performance Center pistols. They have some great offerings.

Try a Glock, as well. They are very popular for a reason. Plus, you can watch this video on cleaning your pistol.

Really can't go wrong with any of the brand names today and being comfortable with your choice is a big part of finding the right gun. And, do your best to get to Carnegie Hall with it.........

I'm paritial to the 1911. It was the pistol I learned to shoot with so others just don't feel right.

I have two full size models, Colt Special Government Combat and Kimber US Shooting Team model. I also carry a Kimber Ultra Compact.

You can't go wrong with the simplify of a 1911. I could never get into the Glock thing, although all LEO friends carry them.

My capability continues to improve. Getting to a Palmetto Armory range at least once a week. I am going to get some more instruction as my strong tendency is to shoot low. I often put 6 shots in a tight line directly below my target.

Assume I am 'anticipating' and while squeezing the trigger, rotating my wrist downward but need a coach to give me instruction on what to do about it. Seems my wrist is breaking down.

My wife and I are enjoying target practice, starting to make games out of it. Fun competition.

It just takes time and practice.

Practice by pulling the trigger without flinching.

Use the first third of your finger, not the entire fingerpad, to squeeze the trigger Craig. Don't anticipate the shot or make up your mind and pull or jerk the trigger. What you want is for that sight picture to come into view and then you start the "squeeze". The timing of the shot should come as a bit of a surprise.

It will help as will the proper sight picture. Once you purchase your own firearm you'll be able to tune the elevation, and possibly the windage, to your liking.

Here's some good info on the proper sight picture:

Spent yesterday morning at the range and shot a bunch of .380 and 9mm pistols in search of a new CCW. The Bullseye in Wichita, KS rents about every pistol/revolver you might want to try for $10 plus the ammo - can swap back and forth as many times as you wish. For me, the results are:
Sig 239, PPK, S&W Body Guard, CZ-82 (my brother's) & Ruger LCR(?) are all 'hard shooting' compared to the delightful and very accurate Kimber Micro. Easily the class of the field in my hand.
Springfield EMP, Kimber Ultra II and Sig (again, forgotten the model, but is the 3" shrunken 1911 Model) all in 9mm were excellent and I judged them to all equal and would go with Kimber due to past happiness with same.
Now have to decide between the two Kimbers. Is the smaller, easier/more comfortable to carry .380 Micro better than the Ultra II. Decisions, decisions.......................
