Thinking about a half track, one Inch or Two inch Reel To Reel Machine?
I am wondering which is the way to go in terms of getting a better Reel to Reel Tape Machine.
- These are just ideas at this point. I am not ready to pull the trigger on anything at all yet. - Choice one- Keep my two Teac 3340s and buy high grade ATR Blank Tape- then record some of my better vinyl or cds onto the ATR. - Go out an buy a Studer half inch, inch or two inch reel to reel tape machine and then buy some ATR tape and do the same? - Go out an buy one of those expensive United Home Audio Reel To Reels and use ATR Tape to do the same? Other questions- -Anyone ever use ATR Reel to Reel Tape? -Anyone have a Studer or use a Studer? - Which Studer to you recommend? - Anyone have a United Home Audio Tascam Reel to Reel? - Anyone have any of The Tape Project prerecordered tapes? Any ideas or comments will be welcome. I do hear a positive difference in Sound when I play one of my recorded Maxell UD 35-180s and my RMG Studio Master 900 tapes. I am liking this investigation in Reel to Reels. They are fun to watch while you are listening to music. Pictures soon but not until I return from China.
