This is how Stillponts are distributed in my system:

4 Ultra 5s under each Magico Q7 speaker
4 Ultra SS under each of two MIT power conditioners
4 Ultra 5s under Soulution 711 stereo amp
4 Ultra SS under Soulution 725 pre
4 Ultra SS under Robert Koda K15 Pre
4 Ultra SS under DAC (Berkekey Reference DAC/CH Precision C1)
The Ultra SS sit on two Stillponts racks on top of Stillpoint X-frames

Also a friend suggested putting painter's tape between the Stillpoints and the component to minimize slippage and scratches.

Nice,

Ivan, you're quickly reaching the top of my S___ list. Right next to Albert.

Damn

They certainly aren't probably the last word, but perhaps worth a try for the mere centavos they cost.

Yes I know, they aren't the prettiest products around, but wherever I used them, particularly on my analog front end, they gave improvement.

Even on a $600 SRA Iso Base V3 Stand.

As for Sorbothane, then yes, wherever I used such, those sorbo products seemed to squash the living life out of the sound. The Herbies goodies didn't seem to do that, and retained neutrality.

Of course, no one can predict an isolation product's positive or negative changes per any given system, that's pretty much a given.DSCN0080.jpg

Not to be confrontational at all but, I found Herbies to be expensive. Why, because they are rather costly for what they are and all had to be replaced. So in my case, it was a total zero on the cost/benefit scale; YMMV

I guess the, as someone recently put it to me, "he-jewlery" part, on top of the outstanding reviews everybody seems to give to the Stillpoints, coupled with the fact that no matter what I do now I will need to get Stillpoints just to know for myself.

I am destined to spend yet another 5 digits on the pursuit.

Your gear may change in the future, but you'll always own and use your Stillpoints.

On a different level of isolation, and not to speak of cost, I found their tube dampers effective on small signal tubes such as the 6DJ8 family, 6H30, 6SN7. With caution not to over damp.

I liked my rollerblocks for the isolation but didn't like the fact my equipment was resting on a bearing that had a lot of movement. For that reason alone I never placed rollerblocks under my speakers.

How do the Stillpoints compare?
