For personal reasons I won't get into here, I've always been leery of Nordost products. This lame response from Nordost to Toga just confirms my doubts.

Yes it is absurd. Agreed.

That is one sad looking AC plug, for sure! I'm sure Nordost can give you an explanation for that but it won't be a good one.

I've experienced similar issues with blades on various power cables and the ground pin of the Furutech connectors on my two heaviest and most inflexible power cables.
In fact, Furutech changed the design of the ground pin a few years ago due to the pin loosening or breaking off.
See the picture of the older version vs the newer version, below.

In fact mine were the Triple Crowns with the loose and broken ground pin. They're the hardest cables I've ever worked with in my system.
Siltech was nice enough to replace with the updated version of the NCF connector. They provided great customer service, fortunately. Siltech were the ones that made me aware of the Furutech manufacturing update.

Good luck with the Nordost cables. They're worth enough to pay the repair cost even though their request for $200 seems unnecessary.

Siltech was way too rigid for my cable dressing obsession.

Double Crown is a busbar, not cable.

Nordost offereda new warranty for the new 200$ IEC connector
And gave me RA number.
But then I have to ship it across the globe to claim for any future breakage.
I don’t make a decision yet.

Default Nordost quality concern

I know it is a hard decision to make. Your cable is worth much more repaired with a new warranty. I would ask them to make it transferable to the new owner so you could sell the cable and get something from a quality manufacturer that stands behind their products.
