Default MX-136 problem HELP!!!!!!

OK, I own a p.o.s. samsung bdp2500 blu ray player. Also a Sony 5 disc cd/dvd player. Each player is connected to my MX136 Digital Audio Output. HDMI 1.3 connects directly to my t.v. NOT pass through my MX136.
Problem: Whenever I view a movie-Cinema 1 will highlight (Digital Signal) and (Pro LogicIIx). If I choose Cinema 2 will highlight (Digital Signal) and (NEO:6).

(EX,DOLBY DIGITAL, ,DTS,DTS ES)
No matter what I try I cannot select any other setting:

Why not? What am I doing wrong. I can understand maybe that decdoing is not in the sony dvd player, but the samsung bdp2500:Product Features

My only possible concusion is I need to plug my hdmi 3 cables into the mx136, then 1 single cable from hdmi out to hdmi t.v. IN.
OR OR OR
Did I connect the wiring corecctly? I was considering to buy an Oppo when it sells or 1 Denon 3800BDCI OR A Panasonic Blu Ray Player. OR my Samsung BD Player

*The salesman said I didnt have the correct codecs to support blu ray or dvd player that recegnized those as choice to play movie playbackmovie

MY BLU RAY BDP200 SUPPORT BELOW,
* Blu-ray Disc format compatible for high-definition movie playback with resolution up to 5 times greater than DVD
* Delivers greatly enhanced video performance with standard DVDs by upconverting their video resolution to HDTV-compliant 720p or 1080p via the HDMI interface and the built-in HQV chip

* Plays BD-ROM, BD-R and BD-RE discs; backward compatible with DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD-ROM, CD and CD-R/RW discs
* Plays Blu-ray media that can store up to 50GB of high-definition video and audio
* Compatible with VC-1, MPEG2 and H.264 formats
* Built-in Ethernet and USB 2.0 ports for network connection and firmware upgrades
* BD Live support with 1GB of internal memory for game, sub title and special feature updates through the Internet
* 10-bit/108MHz video digital-to-analog (D/A) conversion
* 24-bit/192kHz audio digital-to-analog (D/A)converter
* Enjoy full HD 1080p video output on your 1080p display
* Outputs: 1 component video, 1 composite video, 1 HDMI, 1 stereo audio, 1 optical digital audio, 1 7.1-channel analog output

Thank you for your help.

1) You have analog outputs. Use them in order to receive the full resolution audio (DTS-MA and Dolby True HD).
2) See page 36 of your user manual. Setup->Audio Setup->Digital Output->BITSTREAM(RE-ENCODE). That is what you want. You most likely have it set to PCM, which will only send out a 2-channel feed unless your HDMI1.3a cable can support uncompressed PCM over HDMI (hint, you cannot support the latter).

If you only want the legacy audio, do #2. If you want the new lossless audio, you MUST do #1 until you go get yourself an MX-150!

I'll bet Ivan could hook you up with some pretty decent RCA cables, too...

Your right vesuvius. I don't know how I missed that. I guess I was too busy eliminating cables. Everything Digital and HDMI. Trying to eliminate all my RCA cables.
of course thank you the GREAT Masterlu for the cables I just received. another order coming soon! *hint*
I'm supposed to have an MX150 or order, maybe I was mentally preparing for that.......
thank you for the reply

Enjoy the legacy codecs in the 136 tho, it still sounds amazing in that pre-pro.

Yes it does, I can't believe the difference from my old denon avr 4800. Im thinking of just keeping it and buying a new blu ray player. maybe the new oppo. or denon 3800. would be cheaper than the mx150.

well form my understanding the new mx150 dose not upsample vid, I could be wrong, because to tell the truth, I am still as i said confused lol. But I think the mx150 has the player convert or upsamp. so if thats what you are using, then you are better off with the 136. me I allow my player to do the work and run my hdmi from the player strait to the tv. then run a dig. from the player to my mht, but I have a esoteric, and uless you have a tv over 50in you will not see a dif between a very good player and blue ray. the only dif would be sound track, on the new formats. and even then it all depends on the copy of the blue ray disk. because if you go look at diffnt blue ray titles alot of them look really bad, it really depends on if they copied the blue ray disk well.

just my half a cent worth. so go ahead, take your shots... I can take it. but do i get a last wish lol

The main reason for the MX150 (and its key selling point) is having Bitstream codec capibility via HDMI1.3a for all the high-res audio formats. In addition to that, one of the finest room correction software packages every made. It will make BD audio sound stunning.

Video, pffft, if you have a good BD player that is already sending a native 1080p signal, no need to have the pre/pro do anything but redirect it.
