Default McIntosh in Hi Fi News

I just picked up my May Issue of Hi Fi News from the mailbox. Pages 92-96 have a large artical on McIntosh.

Ken Kessler talks to Charlie Randle. Pictures of the C2200, the MXA60 al in one, an add from the mid 50's for a MC60, Anniversary Edition C22 and MC75, and old add from 1954 with the MC30, and the MA6900.

Not bad all. The final line. "McIntosh hardware has always been an investment."

A few added notes: According to Randell there is a good chance that at some time in the future that the new MC75 will be added to the product line but in a way that will preserve the value of the Anniversary Edition. The C46 will be upgraded in the near future. The will make a blu ray player. Right behind the MX150 will be the AP100.

The article says AP 100 which is supposed to be a stand alone audio processor to go along with the stand alone video processor.

Yawn on the AP1000. I've stopped lusting. MX150 for me since HDMI is an all-inclusive transfer; unless you had a dual output (Denon A1 player, for example, which I believe is being used as the frame for the McBD player), then you can do both video and audio separately...
