Even though I am lusting for the MR88 and MVP881, if the wallet situation is tightening, have to face up to reality as these are "nice to have" toys and by no means a "must have" for daily survival.
Moreover, what had been good today is STILL good. Can still listen to SACD/CD, play Bluray (via Sumsung $300 player) and DVDs via the MVP871. Hence if such a situation does arises, I will give the nice toys a miss - painful though the decision is! Cheers!

A new MCD/MDA combination that plays CD, SACD, and DVD-A would pique my interest. Also, a new music/video server combination capable of 1080P, 7.1 surround, network interface, unlimited hard drive expandability, with a full color VGA touch screen remote, that also includes two channel audio output would be another attention grabber.

Music wise, did the same, LP's, then CD's, then buying XRCD's + SACD's + DVD-A (these only 3 pieces) + LPCDs of the same title! For sure, I own 3 Dire Straits Brothers In Arms .... and more ..... Come to think of it, if my wife knows about this, she will knock my nuts off. So, better hide some of my "repeated titles"!
