C1000 not talking to the MDA1000 as she should

I have been using the MDA1000/MCD1000 with the C1000 for some time now. It used to be only the MCD1000 that was connected to D/A7...all other inputs were setup as unconnected on the C1000.

A few weeks ago I added a BluRay player connected to D/A1...and setup the C1000 to be able to select D/A1 and D/A7 through the "listen" selector on the C1000 or its remote.

The trouble I am having is that, when scrolling through the inputs, the C1000 lists D/A1 and D/A7 but the MDA1000 does not follow...its stuck on input 1 or input 7.

Sometimes it works...sometimes it doesn't and I have to shut down everything and power on again.

Checked cables and setup...all is according to the manual and cables are fine.

Did any of you experience something similar ?

Hello Jacques,

At the beginning I had the same problem.

Try to scroll upper or lower with the Remote Control's input button (at the bottom and right of the big remote control) and then come back; I tried to help manually too; and in the end, does it work when you push DA1 and then DA7 button?

At least I've found a strange tip: you try to go from DA1 to DA7 for example, and it doesn't work: crank a little bit the Volume, and try again, it works everytime, and I really don't know why!!!!!

Since I almost have no problem, except in a very very few cases

I have the same problem. Contacted Chuck Hinton from Mcinotsh. He was suppossed to ask the engineers about the problem and get back with me. To Chuck it sounded like to sync problem between the C1000 and MDA1000.

Thanks. I did wrote to you (on the same day I called Bro Howie) and Jesse111 to join this website BUT now realised they were "censored". Hence, till now, I did not see Jesse111 on line.

As I do not have your phone contact, could not call you in person, unlike Bro Howie. But am glad you made it.

Things are OK with me although I was then suffering from a very inefficient left lung but now am recovering.

I have changed a little on my system and will post a review of it once I am freer next month.

haven't had time to try the workaround.
