Thanks everyone for the comments. Amp is the MC602 (which replaced a MC275V). Am going to have an Audio Note kit tube amp built in the near future by Response Audio. Will run it through the MDA1000 SE outputs and the MC602 through the BAL outputs.

NOS Tubes will keep track of the time. Thanks to Chronotronix.

Speakers are Klipsch Cornwall II's with modified crossovers done by Response Audio. Alpha Core inductors and Mundorf silver in oil caps.

Synergistic Research-Tesla Apex speaker cables-T3/UHCT3 power cords-D3 digital cable-QLS-9. IC's are Aural Harmony-Cryo Gold Alloy Sonnet II. Valab pure silver power cords. PS Audio PPP/UO/Premier power ports/Noise Harvesters. Symposium RollerBlock Jr's. and last but not least the Billy Bags rack.

System has been about two years in the making. Based on available budget and insanity level. I swear I'm just about done....almost!.

Is the MDA1K "SE" upgraded by The Upgrade Company? Is it worth it?

Outputs on the MDA1000
SE-single ended (RCA)
BAL=balanced (XLR)

The MDA1000 is fantastic in stock form. Am not familiar with the company you mentioned.

That must be an amazing sounding system!

I had a LONG love affair with Cornwalls and know that the II's are better than my I's.

What type of stands are thos CW's riding on, I can imagion that they help the sound a bit!

I'm sorry, but I just LOVE the 602...

Don't tell me, that my house is going to have a 6300, 402, 501's and now a 602...

Stands are 6" Lovan Jazz on top of 1" granite. Getting the speakers at the right height depends on your listening seat and will help increase the soundstage.

Cornwalls-I or II-All of them should have the crossovers redone because of age in order to get the best sound-Prices vary depending on parts selection. Photo of my crossovers below.

It was a tough call between the 501's and the 602. By adding the LED light kit and 1.2k handles to the MC602 it transforms into a modern McAmp that is capable of driving any future speaker purchase and was the best way to go for me.

Nothing wrong with having 5 or 6 McIntosh systems (except where to put the boxes).

One setup that I would like to hear-Two MC303's tri-amped into a pair of PMC MB2's.......oh no its starting again....better get off this forum now
