Ok Jeff, that's cool. I look forward to getting my hands on NY 24/192 files someday... Until then my LPs and CDs will do just fine.

Sorry for the thread detour. The mention of Neil derailed my focus.

Great review and it has me thinking about picking up a laptop, Meridian Explorer for hi-res listening on the go. Or anywhere outside my room.

I have an Explorer waiting for me when I get back home from my travel at the end of next week

Will let you know my impressions once I get to connect it and test it.

I would buy one if Meridian's App was made for the iPhone and came with an adapter cable.

(that it kept a selection of my library in lossless, used my Rhapsody account, and used "Swim" and "Focus")

It seems that Meridian has came with a winner. It seems to better the AQ in terms of features (24/192 support), sound quality, build quality, looks and perceived value. All for a mere $50 more. I'm expecting AQ to undercut the DragonFly price by $50, just to stay competitive.

Interesting times indeed.

I might just pick one up for my laptop at work. Colleagues will probably ask what it is

As for headset I will wait for the M branded ones. Hope they have something unique as well as make me look good.
