Default TONEAudio Review of the Meridian Explorer
TONEAudio has a full review of Meridian Audio's new Explorer DAC and headphone amplifier. Plays 24/192 files, and is built in Cambridge at the Meridian factory. Product was announced a few hours ago, but we managed to snag an advance sample. $299 at your Meridian dealer.

I took it from thr article that one is the fixed level output, and the other is the variable.

"Heading straight for the files I couldn’t play with any of my other portable DACs, I go first for Neil Young’s Harvest in 24/192 (courtesy of HDtracks)"


Or a misstep? HDtracks does not currently offer any Neil Young titles. Reportedly, Neil has been working on hi res distribution via pono, some sort of proprietary format.

Are you suggesting that Neil's catalog or at least Harvest will soon be available thru HDtracks??? I will be lining up to purchase if so.

Sorry, my Neil Young rips got mixed in with the folder marked "My HDTracks.." My mistake.

and, NY's stuff will be the first titles on PONO. Unfortunately, under NDA with all of that, can not discuss right now...
