Talking

I just recently found a Penzey's store near me ! The Vietnamese Cinnamon they have is the best I have ever used !

My mother is a Hooiser and I was brought up on Marion Kay. I still like the black pepper they have the best . My grandfather grew up next to the Sander's family in Henryville IN. Their son Harlan used Marion- Kay to delevop his 11 herbs and spices

Doug.......I like the spices from GarlicFestival.com. I use Garli Garni on stake, chicken and pork chops. Their Lemon Garli Garni is great on chicken, too. Good stuff.

I really like grilled, BBQ'd, baked, broiled meat.

i like something with a bit of a kick, but i don't like salt. And most commercial rubs have lots of salt.

So I came up with this:

Mustard 5
Garlic Powder 4
Paprika 3
Crushed Red Pepper 2
Cayenne 1
Ground Black Pepper 1
Onion Powder 1

+1 on this for me, especially when I'm doing a "serious" rub. When I'm doing my quick/routine daily grilling I usually use these two items (light amounts), plus add a third depending on what I'm in the mood for (granulated garlic, paprika, ginger, etc.) It's a great combination IMO!
