Default Ribs and a Key Lime Pie

A couple of racks of spares done over cherry and pecan and finished with Dreamland sauce. Any overly big Syrah (read even overbearing Australians are acceptable here) works great followed by a real Key Lime Pie (it's yellow)

There goes the damned diet.

And since your previous aloof-ness to proper Aussie reds was less than... endorsing... this screams "I need a huge red!"

Sounds like a good plan

Fair enough. But I just can't say Shiraz. It's a Syrah and always will be. Old guys get set in their ways

Talk to a hot Aussie girl with that accent and you'll scream Shiraz at the top of your lungs...

Oh wait - you are old and married. oops.

If you think some of our exports are too strong, wait till you get to sample what some of our smaller wineries produce! Ever tried a West Australian Zinfandel? It is completely different to a Californian Zinfandel (which are mellow and smooth by comparison). It is completely over the top, incredibly tannic, incredibly packed with fruit, and incredibly alcoholic. The label says it is 14.5%, but I am sure that the label only says that for tax purposes. It tastes closer to 17-18%. It is a ridiculous parody of a wine, almost comical in that it exceeds excess itself.
