Well at the suggestion of Dan, I swapped out the cable(which was brand new by the way) for 2 new left and right RCA cables (the C220 only has balanced outputs for the main) and the sub. is putting out plenty of power now . I just assumed the new cable was fine but the sub was barely putting out any volume so that issue is put to rest. I have the sub. placed in the left corner perpendicular or 90 degrees to my listening position as per Serge's suggestion. When I had the sub. facing me I was getting too much vibration noise from the room. The crossover is set to 55 hz, using a test tone at around 50 hz the bass was loudest with the phase set to just below 90. Volume gain is set between 10 and 11 depending on the type of music I am listening to and the volume of the pre amp. I am looking forward to running the ARO . Thanks Ivan the sub is adding a definite new dimension and texture to the music that was missing. The JL sub is very musical, it should only sound better with the ARO after the mic/cable arrive.

That's good to hear David, personally I never even play a JL sub till I run ARO; just my .02 cents.

After doing some more listening my Cremona's sound so much better with the sub. then without it , what a fabulous upgrade. I would say my Cremona's sound very close to the sound I was looking for with the Elipsa. The sound is rich and full. Listening to drums such as by Billy Cobham has thick texture with lots of slam and reverb. all of which I never new existed on the track before the JL F112 was in the system. Sometimes what sounds impressive at first can become fatigueing, several hours of listening will determine this. I am still at the stage where I am experimenting with different settings . To those with the SF Cremona thinking of selling these speakers, try a JL sub. before you get rid of them; I may have finally arrived at a place where I may be done for awhile
