James,
Since the fact that buying a pair of 7B-SST2 means quite an investment especialy after buying a pair of MB2's. Would an option be to buy a 4B-SST2 and then later on upgrade the system by adding an other 4B-SST2 and either bi-amp them or use them in bridge mode? I read somewhere that bridging usualy means losing on sound quality? Regards Robert. |

When you 'bridge' an amplifier it "see's" 1/2 of the impedance it does in Stereo. So 4 Ohms becomes 2 Ohms and current draw is increased accordingly. So generally speaking it is better to use a mono amp designed as such in a quality music system rather than smaller amps bridged for more power. james |

Hi James,
Thanks again for the quick respone and explanation. So a pair of 7B's is also prefered above Bi-Amping (so one 4B for stereo low and an other for mid's and high's)? Thanks again. Regards Robert. |
