Hello Mike! You're fairly close to me, and great set of gear you have too! Glad you're here.

Howdy, Mike. I'm brand new here but a lifelong Texan. I've even thought of relocating somewhere in the Burnet area - far enough west to get out of the humidity and crowds but not so far as to get into the badlands (I grew up in Midland). I go through Burnet several times a year while taking my bike for a spin down around Leakey and the Three Sisters.

Small world....native Texan here, though living in Santa Fe, NM. I actually lived in Burnet for almost two years....however, since the drought in Central Texas is still so awful and the Highland Lakes are in such poor shape with no relief in site, I would never consider living there again..

Cheers,

Cheers,
Small world indeed ! The drought here is relentless. I moved her about five years ago and the lake levels have put a damper on our enjoyment of the area. I love to sail and that is not going to be happening here. We are going to give it some more time but if it doesn't improve we may be outa here. Santa Fe is great and congratulations on living in such a wonderfully place.

Mike, somehow I missed this thread, but here is a belated and warm welcome!

And yes, like Julian and the rest, I'm looking forward to seeing your system!
