Hello from Maryland
Hello all. Long time reader first time member. I first got into high end audio about 10 years ago and began with a Peachtree Audio integrated amp and Paradigm Monitors Studio V5 (I know not high-end). I later stepped up to Mcintosh C2200 & MC 402 with B&W 805S.
During the Covid years I sold the Mcintosh gear and downsized to an MA8000 which I wasn't feeling too much because I felt it was lacking the separates sound with some tube warmth of which I feel I had too much previously. Then I sold that and went for the MA6900 which was ok for a few months and then sold that. Then I went back to separates with an MC252 and C220 but it was still lacking. So I just got a C22 MKV and think I am done and satisfied. I had also experimented with B&W 805D which I found a little bright. |
