I very much look forward to hearing your opinions. I have not been able to do any further listening, other than a well-recorded Wynton Marsalis CD, "The Magic Hour", which sounded absolutely incredible. I mean detail and instrument texture like nothing I've ever heard. Very impressive.

Yes, I was expecting the Arcam AV888 to stomp on my TUC SE Onkyo 5508 - especially because I previously had an AV8 (which I loved!) and an AVR600. However, the 5508 is definitely better. It makes the AV888 sound veiled, in comparison. And, the video is much better through the SE 5508. Your Denon 3930ci is probably 4 years older than the Oppo 95, and it's not a blu ray player either. Perhaps the laser just needs some cleaning to get it working again. Dave's upgrades have improved/evolved, as he continuously learns new ways to improve equipment. I bet you could send in your Oppo 95, or just get a new upgraded 105 from him. Dave's definitely had some folks attack him in years past, and his emotions and passion did get him into trouble sometimes on forums. But for now, he tries to stay away from those things and just stick to what he does best. He's actually getting more reviews from reviewers, so hopefully he's getting some good cred now. Chip Stern has an online interview with David, as well as a review of the SE Oppo 95 - both on postive-feedback (add dot com to that). Since I have the Krell S-1500 amplifier, I wanted to try a Krell processor to see if there's a synergy that would be better than using my SE Onkyo 5508. I'll know fairly soon... Dave |

TUC owner David Schulte is a blabbering idiot that phones peoples homes and leaves threats for your family to hear.I sent him a brand new piece of gear and when it was done told him me and my wife were willing to drive 4.5hrs to pick it up,so as to not have him ship it USPS(damn him)..He said """NO""" and when it arrived it was broke.I will never stand behind that man.
Onto the subject,Congrates...I still use the HTS 7.1/SACDv3 for my multi-channel SACD music.I have the Integra 80.2 for movies.I have a friend who is looking into the 1200 also so I look forward to your review. |

I'll definitely report on the S1200, once I get it in my system (this weekend) and give it a little time to settle in. Dave |

Honestly, I'm sending my S-1200U 3D to Krell. I bought a demo unit, and I found out that it is a few years old. Krell is going to upgrade a couple of boards in it and update the software, in order to bring it up to a 2013 S-1200. I can't wait!
By the way, the folks at Krell are professional and passionate about their products. I feel really great about choosing Krell. Dave |

Hi Jeff and Dave,
I am still confused between bryston sp3 and Krell 1200 u and foundation. Any statement which can help me decide because Australia not as big market for high end audio and loose too much money on selling so I want to make the right decision once. I am scared to handle bryston quirks but at the same time I am more 2 ch listener for which I believe it's better than Krell 1200u and foundation. Please advise.
