If he has a complete top of the line Rega system ( the RS10 speakers will be available in january ) and a decent room to listen to it, go to listen MUSIC. You can have one of the best sounding system in the world ( if not the best ) and if you sell your complete set up, it will leave you enough money to buy thousands of records until the age of 120 years. And the ice on the cake : not a single tube !

I saw the Rega units at the is years RMAF and I don't remember them sounding anything special. I have always liked the styling of the two units in their adds and in the reviews I have read.

It could have been the speakers they were paired with or just a poor room.

I auditioned the Luxman M-800 and am still awe struck by the sound, warmth and authority.
I passed on them primarily due to having my gear in an enclosed cabinet, and heat production(you cant touch them once they;'re warmed up). I may still demo them again, but suspect you wouldn't want to leave them on at all times. Might be inconvenient.
Keep us posted.

Thanks for the reminder Philippe. I forgot this one. The Isis in Paris was the standard non tube one.

Jim, wow.....you make that swap and you'll need to buy some brighter lights for your room. Will the grass be greener on the other side? You own two of the nicest amps on the planet (imo)and you might trade them, Wow...
