Default thought you guys may be interested in this post...
in a thread over on the AK Mac board there is a 3 pager going regarding "to plug directly into the wall or not....that is the question" thread. There was a lively debate going between RonC and a member regarding impedance matching and power transfer when Victor jumped in:

This was brought up back when I had the thread about 20 amp lines installed.

By way of emails and PM's after this, RonC and ChuckH both preferred the plug right in the wall.

Hah. They also said any 12 gauge power cord will do!

Ok jc..enough dorking around.

I have mine plugged straight into the wall. That isn't because I tried something else and it wasn't as good. I just haven't tried anything else yet. Doesn't mean I won't thought....esp with all the recent faith in the PPP.

To me a confusing part of that thread was the place of the Mc 1500. I thought I remembered at its introduction that Ron C said it was for preamps and sources, not amps. Now, it seems to be okay for several of the lower powered amps.

I own & use the MPC1500, it is not recommended for amps.
