My CoMotion Klatch gravel bike. A frameset that I ordered in December, and received it in February. Steel frame, with a carbon fork. My first bike that is tubeless. Also, my first bike with SRAM. It's a 1x11, and I don't miss the front derailleur. The Rolf wheels were ordered with red hubs, and orange decals. With 700x36 tires, I don't care what road or trail I'm riding.

this is a crappy pic of one of my bikes. This is a 2014 Trek Domane 5.2 and its my main early morning (4:30 am 20 mile a day) bike. My other bikes include a 2013 Trek FX7.3, a Giant Defy Advanced 2 (circa 2013 i think) I bought this one last fall as ONS for half price. an obligatory schwinn 10 speed (in this case a 1973 Continental) and a 1967 AMF hercules English racer that i received Christmas of that year.

Those are a lot of beautiful bikes. Any bike that you ride regularly at 4.30 am has to have something going for it.

700x36 - what a smooth ride, over ... anything.

Very nice. Indeed - both I and my friend, who is on the eastern edge of Boulder, have gone to 28s for road bikes and 36s for off-paved road riding.

Joe - you are definitely a 'road warrior', getting up at 4:30 a.m. Only time I get up that early is when I need to pee.

Finally found a pic of my '02 Scapin EOS3 with Record/Chorus mix and Ksyrium wheels. Tigged steel.
Am giving serious consideration to the new Trek Domane SL6 Disc. Will be turning 70 this year and that smoother ride sure is catching my attention.

The respect of the past gained knowledge for engineering in today's machine; two highlights are the electronic shifter by Campagnolo that incorporates a battery inserted into the down tube and the Lightweight Brand carbon wheels this aside from custom fitted carbon frames by Cipollini made in Italy.

Like any gain comes with a price, if any of this gear is wrecked, it's a painful $ replacement. Bikes are meant to be ridden, and ride it shall - I don't own museums only visit them.

Great to be on the bike at 70. Treat yourself to a new frame!

I have a buddy with the electronic shifter and he loves it. He's a serious rider though. I just can't go there as I'm basically a cruiser guy and it would be wasted on me (much like the accuphase A-200s that I use as mono-blocks).

Whatever it takes to get out there - bikes for me allow the freedom of enjoying being outside, seeing new things and working in cardio, that is better for me then running, which I reluctantly do each week as well.
