The problem/fun with our hobby is:

Everything sounds good, until you compare it to something better.

I traded out a very old Velodyne to a f113, and never looked back. Great speed, musicality, and versatility of controls.

David, I dialed down my JL113's to blend seamlessly with my PMC's for stereo. For my HT system I have a JL112 set more agressivlly for movies. I was going to sell the JL112 when I got the JL113's but then I put it in the HT system and it imediately replaced an older Velodyne.

Can't go wrong with the any of the JL's.

Love the F113's! If you ever feel they are lacking when newer subs come out, just buy more!

The F113 are excellent subs i use 2 in my 2 channel system, one of the most important thing is to set them up correctly using the room equalazation and setting the LP filter i set mine to 24 this took out lower mid range and boomyness that was lingering in the sound also very important set xover frequency between 40 and 45 this yeilded the best results for me. Another tip put your ear between the sub and your speaker and adjust the Phase back and forth until you hear a coupling between the sub and the speaker. This took me about me about 2hr but when you get it dialed in WOW it is great. Also make sure the volume is set to reference. Hope this helps.

That's easy. Just put on your truss and drag it around the room to see where it sounds best.
