I hope that that will make sure that the products are a bit more reliable.[...]

I have no inside track on location of manufacturing, but I think I read that it was to be in Japan, yes -- maybe we read the same article.

It's a shame you had such trouble with the SSP. Though I've found problems with audio gear rare, they are nonetheless extremely irritating, for sure!

Yes, it was really unfortunate. I loved the sound and still miss them to some degree. Now playing with the Master Series from NAD and these amps are pretty good as well. But not on the same level as the Classe.

Maybe they will make a Sigma MKIII with a Denon HDMI board (with HDR support), include a 12V trigger output and faster start up times. But other than that, it was an amazing machine.

Nevertheless, waiting till they come with something new. The gunmetal greyish finish on the prototypes looked awesome.

New Delta is coming in January. Pre for Stereo and mono/stereo power amps, so 3 models to start.

Extremely reliable source

This is what I remember ftom what Dave N. told us:

- Pre will be better than the cp-800 that was excellent
- Pre will have an optional HDMI board similar to the sigma ssp.
- I have not seen the back of the pre but I am guessing there should be digital connections so there should be a DAC
-Monoblock will push 300 or 400W. 30W will be pure class A
- Vents on the fans are using magnets so can be taken off and cleaned very easily

Sigma line might stop which is a shame since it is great in my opinion and innovative. On the other hand Sound United also owns Marantz and the Premium is excellent for 2 channel and Classe has to be positioned above Marantz.

This is what I remember...

Thanks for the answers!

A HDMI board would be great, but to me, only if it will support 4k, HDCP2.2 and HDR on all inputs and output(s). So newer and better than in the Sigma models. I personally thought they really missed the boat with those HDMI boards. Otherwise an optical cable could do the trick

Any idea what the Delta stereo will output? could be lower than the Mono.

Would be a shame indeed if they just cut off the Sigma models. I think they should "just" give them an update.

Regarding HDMI remember that now they are owned by SU so they should be able to get the latest chips and the best price so my hope is also that all inputs/inputs support the latest formats.

Saying that I am also hoping and predicting that the new Home Cinema Pro which will come much later will be state of the art in terms of sound quality (Clasee) and reliable video (Denon/Marantz). I have not yet been convinced that Datasat and Trinnov are the best in audio quality or are reliable with Video.

Stereo honestly I am not sure: Should be 2x200 or 2x250 or 2x300w but this is too unprecise. The big point was how much power this amps will be pushing in pure class a mode - 30w for the mono so similar for the stereo.

I hope you are right. But the Pre was "almost?" finished when they were still owned by B&W. A lot of pictures were already showing up. Unless this was the CP800 in the new cabinet and the new Pre was still in development and not out in the world yet.

I agree with you on the Datasat and Trinnov part. I like the new MP50 from Lyngdorf a lot sound quality wise and these are built pretty well.
Well as long as Classe picks up and integrate the latest standards from the start it will be all right

Its a shame they don't have any specs available yet off the amps and pre. Maybe they still finishing up some parts. Well, all we can do is wait and hope for the best.

I am especially interested in the DSP features (of the Delta Pre). What I heard promised was 9 PEQ points per channel instead of the current 5, and -- finally -- gapless Ethernet streaming. I believe that the turnoff pulse in the sub channels (mentioned in another thread) has been located and eradicated.

Perhaps there will be other improvements in the DSP setup, as well. To me, the DSP is what makes this product special among excellent preamps. There are more than a few excellent preamps on the market, but very, very few with decent bass management and tone controls.
