Default What jazz music are you listening to?

Ryo Fukui - Scenery
Original release Trio Records Tokyo 1976
Reissue We Release Jazz 2018, half-speed mastered vinyl

Beautiful music and very nice reissue, although overall recording sound leaves something to be desired, drums are somewhat distant.

This popped up in both Jazziz and Stereophile. I love the Cookers, and this is a good one. The ensemble playing is a little loose and sloppy sometimes, but that’s just part of the mood, and the soloing is all great.

Yes, very good

I really enjoyed this, wonderful playing.

We listened twice - by accident, but not a bad accident - the last week.
It's good.
I really appreciate this piano player, that I have only recently discovered.

Brilliant playing.
I do prefer pure jazz over jazz rock, but I can appreciate the musicianship here.
