If I knew I wanted to keep the master tape, then I used my own gear! (Tandberg TD 20A tape deck, Schoeps and B&K mics, and a custom mic pre.) I stupidly sold all of my recording gear in 1990, gave up being an engineer, and became an English teacher! Well, the last part wasn't stupid, but selling all of my gear was! Before I got rid of the tapes, I transferred a few favorites to CD.

Thank you--I hope they did! I received a number of letters from listeners who told me they used some of the recordings to demo their stereo--and that was the compressed broadcast version!

Yes, since I retired in June, I got to thinking about reviving my recording business, but 1) with so many decent portable devices, there's less call for such services, and 2) I don't think my wife would want me to invest that much money in recording gear again!

Nice works from this Czech composer brought in a very good way by this Czech ensemble.

We saw them at work last Thursday and they were excellent.
They want to promote Zelenka's compositions, but also bring Bach, Biber, Monteverdi and others.

We saw/heard Biber's Missa Salisburburgensis (was coming from all sides in the Concert Hall in Bruges), and Excerpts out of Monteverdi's Selva morale e spirituale & Vespro della beata vergine.
There was a standing ovation afterwards.
