I agree, more pistons, shape of the combustion chamber etc yeilds the definitive sounds that an engine make. And a V-12 has all it's own..

Yep. The next one up will be V-8's are dead.

Of course current many V6's are quicker than the pony cars of the 60's and also get over triple the mileage.
