At the mo am sitting downstairs on the computer & the stereo is upstairs in the lounge. The stairs lead off the opposing wall to the speakers & my computer desk is hard up against the open side of the stairwell. It's not the best sound but it is actually pretty good for someone who can hear the difference between crap recordings/interconnects etc. etc. I'm sitting here listening to Buddy Guy : Your Damn Right I've Got The Blues. The floor above me is a wooden suspended floor & damn it's thumpin & a throwin down here. I've got ML Summit X's with 500w in the first tank & 900 when things go 4 ohm, very smooth & enjoyable if I say so myself.
I've probably got one of the worst rooms to try & make sound right but with ever increasing knowledge ( internet) & treatments I am amazed everytime I venture up those stairs to get another cold beer!
So who was saying the ML's aren't too good in the thump & throw department? These thing rock if you treat the room right (if needed) & take some time to set them up properly. Anyone else found the same after an initial purchase & realise that the very revealing speaker has found limits in your room set-up & some recordings?
