Default Anyone Using SoundCast Products?

I'm about to. I purchased their Sub Cast wireless subwoofer signal system for my 2.1 channel listening system upstairs.

Soundcast: SubCast

That system is made up of an McIntosh C28 pre amp, McIntosh MR77 tuner, two newer SS mono amps (while I hunt for that just right McIntosh!), a DAC, a Sonos connect and my recently re-foamed ADS L880/2 speakers.

I was struggling with sub placement and having to string wires all over the place. And the sub is hella nasty to move around, being one of the larger Elemental Designs units. So now I can place it where I want it, not have to string cable all over the place and still enjoy having a subwoofer with this system!

It looks like a very versatile system. I'll report back on results later.

Well, I gotta say this works pretty darn well...until you try to use another wireless component or system, like Sonos.

It causes enough interference to cause Sonos drop offs and the dreaded "Unable to play xxxxxx - Network connection speed insufficient to maintain playback buffer." error message.

I tested the system with each of the 3 available Sonos channels, with a Sonos Tech Support person on the phone with me, and 4 separate support diagnostics submitted. As soon as the SubCast system was shut down, signal interference on the Sonos system dropped to 0.

So I have support ticket open with SoundCast to see what my next steps are.

The idea is a good one and I hope they can solve the issue. Otherwise, it goes back and I start stringing wires.

ughhhh....

FWIW, Outlaw sells a very similar product for ~$100 less.

Does it work with other wireless devices in the room? I gotta go check that out.
