It came in a black tube so you would not mix it up with your Ipana Toothpaste. If you did, the "hairs" on your teeth would stay neat all day.

Many of those things were before I was born, 1956, but they were still around. As a kid I remember having PF flyers and wanting Beatle boots. I used to use Brylcreem and my dad used Vitals. My mom had a behive hairdo and would ever leave the house without being properly attired and makeup on, even if it was a 10 minute jaunt to the grocery store. All in all, it brings back some pretty good memories.

I thought the 50's and early 60's were horrible times. About the only things I like from that period are the classic cars and stereos, maybe a few film noir movies.

I miss the Carvell soft serve ice cream, used to ride my 3 speed to get one after school, that is after I stopped in to bug Mom at work, she would give me $.25 for a large vanilla cone. (1958 or 59)
