Epson 9500UB Projector
Ok. So I dont think the 8100 will fill me needs. I did audition a 9500ub which apparently comes with an extra bulb and 3 year warranty. However there msrp is $3700.00 - $200 for rebate. I have seen mounts for as little as $50 not sure I would need an extra bulb by the time I wear it out in 4,000hrs something better will be on the market. Regardless, If I stay in this price range is this the projector of choice or is something better out there for the same cost and benefit. I have seen some less expensive on price watch etc. for approx, $2700.
The sales person is suggesting to skip the epson 8500 due to receiving a free mount, bulb, and extra 1 year warranty, but am I receiving a better projector for a 90 - 100" screen. I mean I can always buy a projector and mount separate. OR should I save some money and spend it wisely elsewhere. Oh great projector wizards, spread your words of wisdom... |

Plan on a new bulb at 900 to 1500 hours. Depending on your pain tolerance.
Epson throws a great/best (my opinion) inexpensive picture. Bulbs are cheap. I have the older Epson 1080ub on a 120 inch screen, in a light controlled room. It looks better then my plasma's, around my home. |
