I received the box, listening to CD1, definitely not for the sonics but the musicianship is great and the chronological sorting of the recordings together with the explanatory booklet are very educational, thanks for that recommendation Bart [emoji108]

Live in front of Notre Dame last week. Jean Baptiste Franc on piano with a great trumpet & bass player. They did a terrific job in the plaza in front of Notre Dame. Jean said he will be in Princeton on Oct 1 and we are looking forward to seeing him in the USA.

They were very good. We listened for pretty much a full set of about 45min. As you can see, near perfect weather.

Avishai Cohen - Shifting Sands

New release, Avishai Cohen goes back to his roots with a new trio. I had a difficult time appreciating his recent albums especially the one with strings but this one is excellent. And his new drummer is da bomb, I saw the trio in concert in Geneva back in Feb, she was absolutely brilliant, so was the pianist, and Avishai was fabulous.
