Wife and I had the pleasure of seeing Oscar Peterson and his trio live at the old Yoshi's in north Oakland from about 12 feet away not long after the Loma Prieta quake in 1989. An unforgettable experience hearing him hum along as he played his heart out that evening.

Thanks for sharing - amazing footage! Youtube showed another video on that page of Oscar with Count Basie, which is also worth viewing, taking about other artists like Art Tatum and Duke Ellington. Oscar was a real gentleman on top of being in the top tier of pianists.
