Greetings all. First post for me. I have read all posts regarding the new Sigma NR v2 and now wonder if someone here have tried the Sigma NR v2 in combination with Nordost. I Wonder If there is synergy to be found using my present setup and adding one Sigma NR v2 to feed my power amp.
Present setup: wallsocket- Odin 1- QX4 - Odin 1- Qbase8 markII
The Sigma NR v2 would then feed MOON W8.
Prior to this I have tested the Alpha NR v1 in different combinations
With the Best outcome being keeping a solid first chain of Nordost products until the Qbase8 in order to perserve the Nordost signum sound which suits my ears. I then added the Alpha NR to either transport/DAC/power amp. The best result was when I connected it to the MOON W8. All suggestions are welcome.

Cheers,
Håkan

The only 2 guys with upper end systems I know who had a loom of Nordost including Odin v1 and v2 who tried Alpha NR v2 in one case and Sigma NR v2 in the other sold the Odin pcs after a few weeks. They are both members here so it's up to them if they wish to comment. I believe one had Qkores in the system and retained them stating it remained a highly effective combination.

I know of several guys using a QKore as they love what those units do, with other high end cables including Elrod, Audioquest and another brand with very good results.

Thanks for Swift reply SCA. I am currently using a Qkore6 unit as well. Intresting to hear, hopefully these two can offer some insight. The present full loom of Nordost cables I am using works wonders with Simaudio, EMM Labs and Sonus Faber.
The W8 has of now a Valhalla 2 powercable attached.

From my novice point of view Nordost and Shunyata works Best using a full loom of either brand. The new Shunyata series NR v2 though seems to have moved the boundaries closer to the notion of " I am done".

You are very welcome....the matching loom is a concept that holds up very well and in most cases is true for many manufacturers in my history in the hobby as well. All the best!

Love reading the positive feedback regarding the new Shunyata power cables. The Sigma NR 2 review sounds like it is definitely a worthy power cable to end the PC merry go round. That being said, is the Omega QR power cable only suited for the Everest power conditioner, or is it also useful as a power cord for amplifiers while at the same time dismissing or obviating the need for using using any power conditioning? It seems that with the built in power conditioning attributes one can just buy the Omegas and forego any power conditioning. My assumption is that people who have already purchased AC conditioning equipment; Audioquest, Shunyata, or PS Audio, or others, is that they would be better off using the Sigma NR2 in those setups. I am personally leaning towards the Sigma NR2 to power my McIntosh MC2301s into a PSAudio P20 which already has a NR2 power cable to the wall.

I use Omega QR power cables on my Grandioso M1 Monoblocks, and I’m extremely pleased.

I also currently have Sigma NR’s on my MC2301’s. They have extremely good synergy with them.

Feel free to PM me if you would like to talk with me off the forum, as these are a rather sizable investment.

Omega XC is specifically made for Everest or other Shunyata power conditioners. I believe any power conditioner would also benefit.

Omega QR-s is intended for source components.

Omega QR is ideal for amps or other high current devices (powered speakers, subs, LPSUs) and can go straight to the wall. That is how I have, and continue to use it with great results.

I can attest to qkore6 working wonderfully in tandem with Shunyata PC’s and their CGS system. The qkore6 handles signal ground. It is also connected to the TritonV3 CGS system on a specific socket for PD’s.

Until Shunyata presents a qkore7 with Omega tech the Nordost qkore6 stays…

Still waiting for an Omega CGS cable

Something is definitely about to happen w.r.t. Signal Grounding at Shunyata; check out the "Grounding" tile on the Shunyata home page.

More after the official products introduction.

Joining the Sigma NR2 club. After reading and waiting in the wings for a while, finally decided to reach out to the one and only “Masterlu”:and order a quad of the Sigma NR2s which will plug into my McIntosh MC2301 amps and my dual power supply Aesthetix Eclipse phono stage.

Will provide updates and impressions once they arrive. These will be an upgrade from Shunyata Black Mamba’s and Anacondas that I have been using for years.

Question: I have a set of B&K Precision 1621A power supplies that power the field coils on my Classic Audio T1.5 speakers. I am using regular power cords but have the urge to upgrade those if it is a viable thing to do. And if so, what Shunyata power cords would be good for those power supplies?

Thanks in advance.
