No, generally it's Low Z for solid state and High Z for tube, meaning the gear you are coming FROM (some like me have a mixture).

I don't know if there are any brand-specific exceptions.

Has anyone heard anything regarding the Transparent Audio Generation 5 series being updated? It looks like it is due, based on their previous refresh cycles (dates sources from the TA Website)

G1 - 1993-1997. 4 years.
XL - 1997-2001. 4 years.
MM - 2002-2008. 6 years.
MM2 - 2009-2014. 5 years.
G5 - 2015-Present. Almost 6 years now...

Default Transparent xl and reference power cords

What's the best option to connect Transparent XL G5 and Reference G5 power cords, power amps, pre amp or source like cd player?

The single most important power cable is the one from your power strip or conditioner into the wall. I get dramatic results from my QBase into the wall, but cannot perceive a difference between cables when going from individual components into QBase

So what about that tiny little fuse wire? Where or how does that fit in with the rest of the anacondas

Recently bought a transparent reference gen 5 (brand new) speaker cable and balanced interconnect.
At first, everything was perfect. Pitch black background, bass like a subwoofer, and
Silky extended highs—just right for my taste. Problem is i now have at least 100 hours
Of break in and its starting to open up some more leading to excessive piercing
Highs.

My question is: do i need re calibration to match my system and pmc mb2se speakers.
Or will the highs still settles down after another 100 hours?

That is an amazing sounding cable. It’s only break in. Keep playing the system. You’ll see

I have had great luck with Transparent, at least their "lowly" Supers. But I am not shocked that a high end cable is producing unwanted effects. Make sure to resolve this before your risk-free return period elapses
