I think the other reason is that, after the change of "ownership" at Tannoy, a lot of the engineers left Tannoy to join Fyne Audio.

There's also been a lot of "chatter" on the interwebs about the whole change of "ownership/leadership" thang as well as Tannoy production being moved from the UK to China, though Bob is correct that most of all the Tannoy cabinetry production is actually at Diora in Poland (AFAIK, all but the least expensive little "desktop" Tannoy).

This excerpt was provided by Adam (Username "Elberoth2" on Audigon, who builds really nice Roon Nucleus clones) who actually visited Diora in-person on Feb. 29th. Adam also lives in Poland.

From Adam:
"Tannoy speakers have been built by Diora - which is the biggest cabinet supplier in EU - for at least the last 15 years (maybe even more). They are build on the same floor as speakers from Gryphon, Marten Design, Elac, Dynaudio, Focal, Triangle, Piega, Burmester, Quadral, Canton, Fyne Audio and many more.

Diora is anything but a "garage" - it is a very modern factory with 150+ ppl employed, built in 2014 (the company itself has been making cabinets since 1977)."

Here's photo Adam took at Diora documenting that...
