Hi Patrick ... I have my subs connected to my MC-601 exactly like you describe just via the balanced outputs of the amp since I'm using balanced cables from the preamp to the power amps. So as long as you area connected via single ended from your preamp to the amps you can use the single ended outputs to the subs. I'm not sure if you can mix 'n match or not? I'm guessing not since there is a switch on the back of the amp where you need to select balanced or unbalanced inputs. Hope this helps! Great amps by the way!
