I owned the One and the 1100 and loved both with no issues. I heard this might be happening and its sad that it is.
I also think that a big problem was getting their name out. When I had a friend buying an AVR from best buy he asked about remotes and the guy said they didn't really do much with the harmony's and to just use the remote in the box. Best Buy used to be a big player to help with these but I think as time goes on people want to spend less and less on the "remote" because they don't understand the value of it.
Also not really getting their name out there is a problem. I don't recall ever seeing a commercial in print or anywhere really for the remotes.
