I agree with Julian. Not only too many places to go see, touch, hear the latest and greatest, but you also live in a consumer feeding frenzy environment. The fast paced world of NYC can be deleterious to one's inner sense of peace and harmony.

I suggest every time you start to be tempted, head to the other side of the continent, which I believe New Yorkers believe are the Poconos. There you will find birds, and bees, and grass, trees, peace, harmony! And freedom from temptation.

It's not AA; it's where you live.
