This will be interesting to watch. I feel sorry for the dealers that spent precious resources supporting the brand.
I have been involved with several businesses that determined their existing rep and dealer network was ineffective in supporting their goals. Dealer networks are devilishly difficult to manage.
In every case there were a lot of hard feelings, with a little brand bashing thrown in for good measure. Also in every case after a quarter or two of confusion, the outcome was better in terms of end customer intimacy and business return on invested capital.
