I had a couple of sets of Golden Reference interconnects years ago.
I remember well that they added an uncanny sense of body, density, substance, and corporeality to musicical images. (They were the opposite of bright, hard, or etched.) Some qualities no other interconnects could match.
But they also took away most of the ambience, air, and space from recordings. (I did end up selling them trying to find something more in the middle.)
