Hi Jean-Marc - I enjoyed the Ultra 5s on the Alexia 1; the floor was carpet. They offered some increase in clarity and focus. When I switched to the Alexia Series 2, I went with the Wilson feet, new to the Series 2, which were taken from the WAMM; also carpet. Not a criticism, but I found Stillpoints UltraSS had a more dramatic impact under my Lamm amps than the Ultra5s on the Alexia2.
Nice to hear that you continue to enjoy the SME V - it's a classic quality arm. And you cannot buy new ones anymore without buying them attached to SME turntables!
