Wow, you now have a "pair" of 260.8 Monoblocks amplifiers (correct?), and can "use a little more gain" on your preamp? Kinda seems like something is off somewhere. Should be capable of blowing the windows out with moderate volume control. Maybe something else is going on there.
Specs on XP-22 are:
Output impedance: balanced, 50 ohms; single-ended, 25 ohms.
Maximum output: 33V RMS.
