Thank you, it’s a mint condition Kenwood KD-650. I had a very standard M/M cartridge. Whenever I would power my turntable and phono preamp the noise from the LED lights in my media room would cause a very noisy hum in my system. I tried everything to eliminate the noise but the only thing that would eliminate the issue was to turn off the lights and use another light source in the room. Now that I am using the DS-Audio cartridge and energizer the noise problem is completely gone. I was going to look into a M/C cartridge but my search is over. Please do some research and look into DS-Audio cartridge systems. I spoke with Jose ‘’Dr. Vinyl’’, and he helped me make the decision to purchase the entry level DS E-1 cartridge and energizer.
